OK I admit my post was a little tongue in cheek, I spent Christmas Eve with some close friends and did the pressie opening thing, that's when they do theirs. We sang a few carols, played a bit of poker and had a good time. They only live a couple of miles away so I came back home that night and returned to help cook dinner. The company was terrific and I felt at peace with the world.

We have never doneanythignfor xmas, soit's just a nice day with family for me.

New Year is my trouble spot, dreading New Year's Eve.

It's a shame that people can change their behaviour because they think they have to and not because they want to though, don't you think?
