Watermelon to the face!

I can't believe that if you got hit that hard in the face with a watermelon, it would do so little damage. Frankly after watching the video I'm rather surprised it didn't kill her. Which makes me wonder if it's a fake as well. I mean, you'd at least have a fair bit of blood pouring out your nose.

The video is slightly suspicious - if the melon hadn't come out on the forward shot, the bungees would extend out forward the same distance as back, before returning to lob it in her face. Which it doesn't appear to do.

if its on the offical site from the amazing race it will be legit. They might have filmed her after a little later in the day but it will be in a different country and everything is filmed on location. If she dont carry on they will be out of the 1m race. Its a cracking show people should watch it

Not a chance this is fake. 

Just the scenes around the incident was edited or recreated.  So was ,Probably, the "Right in the kisser" line, just before she got hit.  Which I lol'd at.

I'm with Rex, can't see how it's real. The mass of a watermelon pretty high, it got a lot of speed on it there, that should at least be enough force to break any part of the face it hit, not to mention the brain damage from shearing. Ok some of the force is dissipated by melon explosion, but still the skin is pretty stiff and would impart plenty of damage to the face.

Watermelon thrown at a truck from a passing car, car could still drive to a car park and then phone for help.

It's also possible the melons were gone off and so soft or had been sliced a bit to ensure they splatted nicely when they hit the target.
