I know that they have held OneWay poker tournaments there, but my query was with regard to the food/waitress side of the place. They do not put on buffets for the OneWay poker events there. The cardroom itself it certainly capable of holding this.

Buffets & food are a function of money, & we have made suitable arrangements.
The Room reminds me very much of the "old" downstairs room at Rendezvous Brighton - plain, but functional. Best of all, we are self-contained.
I'm hopeful it will go well.

I'm sure it will. Will try and get through the online qualifying for this.

Les Croupiers is the best venue in Wales in my opinion - will probably play the Welsh leg of this tour like I did this year. It was at Aspers. Tikay telling the casino off for running out of chips was quite funny. How does a casino run out of chips?
Does anybody know why more of the events cannot be two day deep stacks. I would make an effort to play more of them if a few more of them had a structure like the Grand Final but it just does not seem worth travelling for an event that lasts less than a day. I would guess a lot of people feel the same.
Is the SPT that well supported compared to what it could be? I have no idea as I have only played one as it was literally down the road from my house. Do the events sell out?

Yup, you could not make it up, they run out of chips. In truth, they were a bit of a disaster, after being so good the pevious year. On the previous occasion, they sent Chris down from Aspers Newecastle to run the Event, & he was well on top of everything. In addition, they built a wall which cut the Cardroom in half. They told us it was a "partitiion" which could be removed overnight. Some sort of misunderstanding, it seems.
They will remain one-day Events, except the Grand Final, for this Season, & probably next season, too. They are as much social events as poker tourneys, & exceedingly popular, "as are". We lay on masses of "fun" SNG's & suchlike, rake-free where possible, & these are incredibly popular. The Presenters & Analysts deal these SNG's usually. If peeps want 2 day Events, (& many of us do) there are plenty around.
The cost for a season of these is eye-watering, & if we make them all 2 day Events, it ups the cost considerably, especially with the TV Crew & suchlike, it's amazing how the cost adds up. They are designed to fit a specific role in the SP Community, & are totally fit for purpose. All the Events - 13 so far I think - have been fully sold-out, & we hope that with the Client Base still growing at an extraordinary rate, that will continue.
I look forward to seeing you in Cardiff. The Welsh leg is always a bit special, & sells out yonks in advance, so try to qualify early.

and the answer to this one, to follow on to tikay's answer above, is that a structure needs to be designed to find a winner from 150 starters over one day, finishing around midnight from a 2pm start
All things considered, its a good structure (5K, 30 mins) given that. Indeed an extra level was added for the 2010-11 events

what about the G casino in Dundee
A casino has to be able to host 150+ people, plus space for tv crews, updaters
It has to be accessible for players travelling from across the country
The venue needs to be affordable, and want to host us, and work with us..ie 15-18 dealers, buffet, PA system but as much as that management willingness to pull out the stops
Last time I looked, as I did for Dundee for an APAT last year, they couldn't fit 150 in. Accessibility for long distance travellers is also a problem
Happily look again if I am now wrong

lol I meant capacity and management willingness.
Dundee, I'd love to go and do Tannadice and look at Dens park (while I can) if possible....however the fact is its not the simplest journey for the lily livered Southerners to get to either

meh, shame. Management would be willing/ enough poker staff and they would be good.
Capacity is problem, 100 is max, maybe 110 with a squeeze but still room for tv crews etc. I didnt realise you needed 150+ when I asked.
