Would it not make sense for both teams to lay some of this off?

How do they do that?

Take out insurance?

Obv not worth £90mil though.
Possibly 90mil turnover but not 90 increase and certainly not 90mil bottom line.

Mr Swansea calls Mr Reading and says "Hey, Sir John if we go up we reckon our turnover increases by £30mil in Y1, 16mil Y2 (if relegated), 8mil Y4+5. We also reckon yours would go up more than that. How about the winner of the game pays the loser £12mil Y1, 6mil Y2 and 3mil Y4+5"

Possible?

Makes sense, otherwise both teams are essentially are flipping for up to £45m
