Any advise, must haves etc..

Need to buy 2 for my kids (11 and 6) for going away on hols for the flight, and for general car trips, and stopping aruguements  Roll Eyes at home!

Any advise appreicated.  From my initial searches, battery life seems quite varied, and actually low!?  avgerage around 2-3hrs.. Is that std?

Personally, I'd buy a netbook rather than a DVD player, more for them to do and you can put films on them for the kids as well.
