I didn't like him at all in his role with New Labour, though I kind of admired him a bit for overcoming some serious issues in his life.

Now, whenever I see him I like him, might have the wrong readz but he seems to speak intelligently, interestingly, honestly and openly these days.

Admire the man's skills.

Don't like the major role he played in the movement of British Politics away from substance to presentation. In addition it often appeared to me that he over-did his communications role to actually really being at the heart of policy setting, without being elected to do so

Still a good opportunity to re-post this classic

and this one

who?

This.

My ignorance about politics and politicians is incredible.

Since they finished spitting image I wouldn't recognise any of them.

An incredibly valid point - that show did an amazing job of making politicians recognisable.  It used to be a topic of conversation at school on a Monday.  Nowadays they're largely faceless nobodies!

As for Campbell, I attended a dinner where he was a guest speaker a few years ago and found him to be very entertaining as an after-dinner speaker, recounting stories of his government days.  Other than that I have no particular feelings either way.

Much prefer him to Andy Coulson.
