been reading blonde for ages, first time i have posted on here, I satted through a 215 table seems pretty standard for this structure lots of squeezing when there are raises and calls.

regarding the villain he is playing 18/3 through 80 hands and been told he is a fish and this is a big tourny for him.

he check raises flop pretty fast but his turn and river bets are snap bets.. spoke through it with a few people would love some views on the hand

cheers.

1. dont change it to hero - no one cares and confusing when not consistant

2. fold pre

3. raise turn

Probably fold pre too but on the button I suppose calling is alright.  I think you play the rest of it okay.  On the flop he could be checkraising a heap of hands....draws like , sets (except jacks I suppose given preflop), flushes (especially worse flushes) and big jacks.  He could even be check raising a hand like 79 if he is really inexperienced.  Given pretty much all of those hands except the flush draws improve then the rest of his play is fairly consistent.  I call even though it does look very much like the way a lot of fish play sixes or eights.

This much open limping in a $5k?! Pre is still pretty damn terrible.

As played though i'd do the same post.

The table had 5 of the guys i was on the satellite table with, and from talkin to the guys that were railing they werent too great, it was a pretty good table considering, agreed pre isnt too great, but was a really confusing spot on the end. i was thinking about squeezing but as i said earlier there was alot of it anyway and it felt to obvious just to pop it up on the button. the dream was to limp flop the flush and stack him i just messed up on the last bit. ty for the responses though.

everyday I have the same chat with people I coach/stake where they make ridic mad peels preflop cos there are two huge fish in the pot, ofc its a great idea to play more pots with the weak payers BUT don't do it with bad hands because you're immeadiate vacuum edge is, for this isolated hand kinda balanced out by having worse cards than him (a pretty difficult thing to overcome)

Yeah speaking about it again today i dont think you should be playin those cards if you cant play the hand properly, i defo think raising the turn is the best option now but im more interested to see how many people call/fold the river.. i went through about 10 different stages of having the mouse over the fold or call button.

no no you played the hand perfectly imo, bad river, and a good fold i reckon on the end - just fold the Q4 preflop, very hard to play it "properly"

that is what im trying to say, alot of times your going to be left with a tough decision its its two pairs or anythin like that, i agree its not a great choice pre flop! been thinking about it all day and i still want to call!

less about what hands you can make with it and how tough our lives will be post, but think more about how this hand is going to do on average vs other hands people are likely to have. people are going to have bigger queens, better diamonds, pairs above 4's etc, all hands that we don't have a great chance of outdrawing - plus it's not like we're going to be abke to rep a huge mount of postflop strength given we've limped behind preflop
