I would say that your line was fine. Good chance that villian has a spade.
I would bet about 800 on the turn.
If he has no spades, i think he has to fold everything bar a set-not a bad outcome, as another spade puts you both level.
If he has the nut flush he may well flat call anyway, giving you a chance to hit your full house on the river at a reasonable price.
He could re-raise with any flush though, so i would bet, with the intention of folding to a re-raise, but expecting to see the river card more often than not.
Bit unlucky if villian has a set of sixes.

Cheers Pleno-That's what i was thinking, believe it or not. I really cant see what hand villian should be re-raising with if we bet the turn. That does assume that the villian plays optimally though. Personally, i dont think that villian would bluff re-raise there. I may be under estimating the likelyhood that villian would play back at us, but i feel that betting would get the villian to fold non spade hands almost always, whilst allowing hero to see the river with good odds against flushes.
It's an interesting hand for sure.

I know this isn't what you asked but i think I would check/fold flop. Also wouldn't need to have too many fewer chips before I'd just shove pre.

I'm dodging the question at hand because I've got NFI what you're supposed to do now Smiley

I think the bare gets jammed a lot pre or raises flop so I don't see him having the nuts too often and he likely pot controls a lot of worse flushes on the turn. Also I see people float the flop bvb way too much. I don't see myself folding very often if he bets the turn.

Things have changed, I no longer just sigh and station it off with any show down value on any run out. And tbf, just calling down all your triple barrels with 3rd pair seemed to work out pretty often
