On a related note, if you want to recline your seat do you ask the person behind first or just do it?

I once had a guy go totally mental on me without warning, I didn't ask first. He made me sit bolt upright on a flight to the US.

I sure wouldn't have sat reclined for the whole flight on the strength of that.

when I was on the flight with Mitch, the lady just came over and told the big guy the other guy paid for his seat and could recline if he wanted.

Must admit that I hate people who recline their seats, definitely never wedged my knees against the back to the point they complained that their seat was faulty.

Yeah this for me too. Anyone reclines on me is getting an uncomfortable back for the duration of the flight that's for sure. They might even notice a persistent tapping against their head rest as well if they're really lucky.

If I was a midget I wouldn't mind but if someone reclines in front of me then I'm fucked!!

One of the good things about Ryanair is that you never have to worry about this problem.

What's the problem with tilting seats back? Sitting bolt up right for the whole flight is more tilting. Just tilt yours back if the person in front does it,you'll find the lost room reappears and you'll be comfier than sitting bolt upright.
