My parents are going to Vegas in Dec (first time) and wanna do a day trip via coach to Grand Canyon. I've been myself like 5 yrs ago but that was in a chopper.

Has anyone ever been on one of the these trips and can give advice on the best tours and most reputable companies as i want my mummy n daddy to have the best experience poss Smiley

Cheers

Went via chopper to with maverick who were incredible. Heard the coaches are tough and not great. Chopper worth the expense!

Used maverick and papillon and they were both the same, they do half day trips that are well worth it, 100% recommend.

Not done the coach, they are cheaper but its a long effing way........

3 years ago we went on a coach to the skywalk. About halfway there you were transferred from the nice coaches that collected you from the hotels into clapped out ones. This was because the road was still being built and the journey was deemed to bumpy for the nice coaches. We also flew out there too and would definatly recommend this to your parents.

I didn't pay that much, dont think it was 400 even, was well worth it though.

Maybe a plane trip out there could be a compromise? I did that a long time ago and it was reasonably good.

We went on helicopter as coach seemed so far and long plus helicopters are incred! It wasnt that expensive for return trip, lunch in canyon and a ride over downtown and up the strip. We shared with another group so seven in total. i shotgunned the front seat but the Air con broke on way back though and a fat woman fainted but hey ho.  Think it was about £300 each, maybe a bit more.

If going by Chopper we favoured the early morning trip. Great memories swooping into the Canyon and having brekkie there before it got too hot.
