No history with villain, he's only been at the table 23 hands, won a flip to double a few hands earlier. I've been a bit card dead and not very active for the short time he's been at the table.

There is about 80 left in the Bigger $55 on stars

Not  sure i'd min this but obviously something everyone does at this point. Know if hes a reg or not? I've definitely played hands like this ingame, seems fine imo but I feel a little underqualified. It seems its hard for him to have a lot but pretty player dependant and i can see you getting snapped a decent chunk of the time. High variance but can't see him folding if he has anything at all. Like 85k into 130k, good price for a bluff too.

Edit: Shove is a must, there aren't many draws pre, your unlikely to have any, so he can't expect you to be bluffing/floating. Must jam when you get here, and i don't really see another point to fold either. Call turn has to be better than shoving, such a good price, he cant ever bluff river with air, expecting you to fold due to the price. It's not like hes suddenly checking to get a bluff out of you with 99/KJ he just shoves all value hands. wp imho

There's this really good article about folding preflop you should read. Think it was by a guy called Malvir or something

you mean raise shove surely? raise/calling with 5hi/the smallest draw is not good imo.

i thought about b3b shoving but we risk alot of chips - like 130k ish to win 68k ish. with 32%ish equity when called we need villain to c/r//fold 30% of the time roughly. well its okay actually.
say he's c/r//calling {AJ, KJ, 44, 66, 64s} = 32 combos. lets add 8 wtf combos like some KK, JJ, QJ to be pessimistic --> 40 value combos overall. we need to find 17ish combos he can c/r//fold.
Doesnt sound too unrealistic; but we'd need to know his 3betting tendencies a bit - if hes calling more than 3betting from the blinds and have more KQs, ATs, ATo, JTs, T9s etc then it starts being really good imo.
i expect villain to have a decent bluffing frequency on this flop; he could c/r//fold bigger draws like 75s,  , overcard+bacdoor flushdraw ala  .

we could also play really imbalanced: b/c flop and shove this turn over his bet - stack sizes are nice.

as played with 5hi otr i think shoving is our only option.

There is no article...

Ok, so pre is probably too loose but I was hoping that it wouldn't be the focus and that I could maybe get some constructive replies about the rest of the hand rather than trolling about preflop

Aamir's comment was an in-joke about a guy (Malvir) that used to play in our home games who'd never fold preflop and its his way of saying "fold pre".

As for my thoughts on pre, in a tournament like this, with no reads that the blinds are regs/good/aggro then I'm usually opening extremely wide but 53o might be pushing it a bit
