First album was a year earlier and we listened to it almost every day in the summer holidays that year.

That was the first record I owned, but it was bought for me, so doesn't count.

I remember buying the Adam Ant one with a record voucher I got for Christmas from my Aunt and Uncle.  £5 voucher, and the album cost £3.95.  Amazing how things like that stick in the mind, but I'm hard pressed to remember some details from yesterday!
