Just looking at the calender for the Venetian Deepstack Extravanganzas in Oct/Nov:

http://www.palazzo.com/uploadedFiles/The_Venetian/Content_Blocks/Gaming/Deepstack_Extravaganza/DSE_IV_2012_Schedule.pdf

Can anyone please clarify how long the $400 events last?

Am I correct in thinking there are 2 x Day 1's - and in total each tourney runs for days 2,3 and 4 - before playing the FT a day or two later?

A little confused as the blinds schedule states play to day 3 or until a winner has been reached?Huh? If so - what are the 4th/5th day $400's all about???

I think some of the $400 tournaments have two day 1s, but they do only last 2 days, so day 1a, day 1b, then day 2 to a finish.

Their website states the following:

$400 with 2 starting days
"All of the $400 Buy-in 12pm events with a Day 1 A and Day 1B will be Three Day Event. Play will extend to :
2am on Day 1A and Day 1B, or . If you are eliminated from Day 1A you will be permitted to re-enter Day 1B. The
remaining players from both days will resume play on Day 2 at 2pm and play until a winner has been declared, unless a 3rd Day is necessary.
Day three will begin at 2pm and play until a winner is declared."

$400 with 1 starting day
The $400 & $600 Buy In Events will be played until the Final Table has been reached or 17 Levels have been played on Day 1 (whichever comes first).
Play will resume at 2pm on Day 2 and will continue until a winner has been declared

OK cool thanks guys.

Do these play similar to the DTD deepstacks?

In your opinions, which tourney in the 2 week calender offers the most value??

Or should I even ignore tourneys completely and just look to grind cash?Huh?

I played a few of these last year. They stretch the term deep stack to the limit. The $440 were $340's if I remeber right and the starting stack was 12k with level 1 starting at 50/100. Hardly deep stack IMO.

I thought the standard was similar to DTD. But my experience is based on around 14 of them ranging from $340 to the $1500.

Good if you want the chance of entering a tournament every day.
