I wouldn't normally try so hard, but didn't have another opportunity I could wait for. I wasn't ready to surrender what I WANTED SO MUCH, that easily, I couldn't guarantee a call with me staying stoic and relying on a flinch "top pair" calling reflex.

I reluctantly played a Fantasy Basketball league last year in the hope that it would develop a better understanding and appreciation of the NBA.

It failed, not helped by the fact that all the games seem to take place at 3-5am, so it's difficult to keep in touch with it from the UK (and not worth the effort of trying to do so, like the NFL).

Perhaps I need to go to a game over there one day to try and get the bug.

There is no bug to get imo.  Incredibly boring sport where only the last 6 minutes seem to really matter.  Didn't stop me having 12 bets on it last of course but I draw the line at actually watching the bloody sport.

Yeah I have really struggled with basketball as sport and I have really tried with it. Think it is the lack of any true stand out exciting moment with points so easy to score.
