This hand is from UKIPT Bristol.

I have a 15k stack, I've been up and down a few k the first two levels having been quite active.

Villain in this hand is an unknown. The only info I have is that he mentioned he'd only played a couple of the fox monthly comps live before. Has 3b me in first level, where I've folded and he's shown me queens. Not long after, he 3b an UTG raise from the button, UTG flatted. He bets every street when checked to on a Q high board. He bombs 7/8 pot otr, UTG folds and he shows him KTo.
In this same level I've min called a 3b and checked down a AKxxx board, he's showndown queens which are good.
He's also 3b the sb vs a Genting sponsored polish lady and bet bet an AA93 board, then checked the river and showdown King high which was good.

Blinds are now 75/150. I'm the effective stack.

I get dealt   in mp1 and raise to 325.

Folds to Ben Grafton whom flats the button (pretty hungover lol, has been pretty quiet. We played each other lots before both live and online, Squids bro.)

Villain 3b's the sb to 875. bb folds. I call, Ben calls.

Flop (pot 2775)

Villain bets 1075.

How do we proceed?

One of the few spots I'd fold pre. Doesn't seem like he's getting that out of line as previous. Seems to look like he has at least a relatively good understanding of the game from history. Not too sure who you are but assuming as you post on a PHA you are going to be in top 3 players at table and Ben definitely is, so don't think he is going to be 3betting light from the sb pre antes 100bb deep as he is going to be coffined post

Villain is Rob Russell.

I called your barrels down last friday with Kings in the dtd500? Remember? Also pretty hilar that it's you advocating folding pre with this much equity! lol

I wouldn't say I was top three, obv had Ben who I have massive respect for, I had Sunny Chatta too, no soft spots left on the table by this point really. Apart from me ha.

Ben definitely is, so don't think he is going to be 3betting light from the sb pre antes 100bb deep as he is going to be coffined post

Wat? Rob Russell was the sb, PayDaPiper was on the button?

Ok so turn card comes  after Ben folds.

Villain bets 3/4 pot.

Do you know Rob Russell? If you do should make it even more of a snap fold pre imo. Very rarely getting ool here. If he has decided to pick this spot, it will be occasionally with a marginally worse hand that will still have decent equity against you, a better hand where you have reverse implied, or a hand where you outdraw him and he won't lose many chips.

Turn doesn't change your hand massively. You were losing on the flop and are still losing now, just with a couple more outs, some/all of which may not even be 'outs'. Fold or raise turn. Too tired to work out stacks but you have about 13k with 5k in there and facing a 3750 bet?! Could jam turn, think you're too shallow though. May just sigh call it off.

Yeah I called turn and checked the river behind. He had KT sigh.

Managed to get 20bigs in next level 99>QQ which was a bit meh.

Then literally next hand I 4b/c 42bb's with QQ vs Ben who had AKo. Still, it was nice to be back in Bristol, really enjoyed living there back in the day.

folding pre seems a bit nitty would more than likely call 4bet wouldn't be a bad idea either though, keeps him in line, given we havent 4bet him yet we can get a lot of folds (would prob fold same hand and any deece pairs he is doing it with)

flop call
turn, sigh call
river i guess check back, but there might be some merit in turning hand into a bluff to fold out ak/axqc/aa/kj etc
