We don't know bb has a monster because he tried to iso the whale. He can do that with lots of genuine hands we beat. Looking at the action and the dry board with a deuce there aren't many big hands/draws in his range so if we overcall I think the risk of bb firing another barrel with all his genuine showdown hands is kinda low.

I wouldn't normally try so hard, but didn't have another opportunity I could wait for. I wasn't ready to surrender what I WANTED SO MUCH, that easily, I couldn't guarantee a call with me staying stoic and relying on a flinch "top pair" calling reflex.

gross spot to just smash the call button but no other choice here, could end up in a weird one if fish raises.

? really ? & to Paul Ho & others peelers

If he has QT and it runs brick brick he can barrell for fun.

The problem with a non flushed board like this is you are pretty much hoping to get to a cheap showdown (and that he has QJ). if he has any 2 pr, especially QT, or obv KJ, he should play it the same way given he is OOP - just barrell off nice and hard. Im just not a fan of ditching chips with AQ and i pair when we can usually pick up chips nice and easy in much better spots this early

The other thing to consider on this board is that bad cards include

9 T J Q K A

Other bad cards if he keeps barrelling include

2 3 4 5 6 7 8

Just not sure what we are hoping for when we call

Fwiw, if I'm putting more chips in this pot I'm raising flop (<5% of time at a guess )

Yeah, but its an 11$ cubed. Everyone in PHA gives an incredible amount of respect to randoms in low stake tournies. Possibly even too much. Our opponent isn't very likely to decide to lol barrel off in an 11c when a fish is in the hand. We have to make a decision on whether we beat his value range on this turn, and its really close, there simply aren't many combos that make sense and have us beat. I mean, if he peels QTo pre, hes capable of misplaying KQ/QJ/J9/KJ etc this way. Its not a 55$ f/o with a supernova on the other end.

Also, we can't presume we are beat now, but say our opponent will correctly barrel every possible scary turn. Any rec player, even someone pretty solid may expect us to raise AQ on the flop and be valuebetting the turn. We really do beat his value range here- and whilst not ecstatic, I don't think i fold the turn and certainly not the river.

Why would we fold AQo preflop? I do cartwheels when I get dealt AQ

Still not folding turn, too many KQ QJ KJ J9 Q9 Q3o in his hand - it's the 11c not some tournament with people playing close to 'good'

Calling river depending on sizing
