Looking for a really nice hotel, in Sheffield area, driving not an issue.  Ideally a hotel with character, nice grounds, leisure facilities, price reasonably unimportant, (would rather pay for all of that than get a bargain that had none of that.)

Any recommendations please?

Kenwood hotel near (ish) town is nice and has some decent facitilities. Beauchief hotel is ok if you fancy playing golf. Aston Hall hotel is really luxurious but no idea about leisure facilities.

What you coming to Sheffield for? You fancy a pint or are you entertaining a lady?

I always used to stay here when working in Sheffield about 8 years ago. It was a Marriott back then. It's a couple of miles out of town.

Cheers guys, will check all of these out tomorrow.

Barry, the outlaws live in Sheffield, bit of a family reunion thing getting planned, but spare rooms are in short supply so I volunteered to spring for a hotel.  So, it will be 3 kids+missus in tow, if that gives a better flavour of what I'm looking for.  Doubt I can get any of them to caddy, but a nice spa/swimming pool would get used and some others might make their way out there if there was some reasonable stuff to do (or even if the restaurant was a decent draw)

Not exactly sure what is planned yet, but I'm pretty sure I will be able to sneak out for a beer or 3, it's in April so will holler then.
