We finished on Saturday just as the tubes stopped. Oops
AndrewT took a nightbus home two hours
then a tube back the next day
to find QQ v KK v AA before the bubble
Andrew flopped a Q
K on the turn
Think it was Andrew's first hand back on Day Two, if he arrived a minute later he would missed the coup, instead he had to turn round & go straight back home.
He ran good with his seat draw on Saturday though, sandwiched by Gav, Stapes, & Mclean Karr, who was being regularly attended to by Tattytats.

At least he wouldn't miss the last tube again.

Yep, very first hand on Day 2 - I'd barely taken my coat off. If only that had been the last hand on day 1 I'd either have come back with a decent stack or could have had a lie in.
I think you'll find Tatjana kept making excuses to talk to Mclean so she could get sneaky peeks at me. That was a fun table - Stapes and Mclean are good at the banter.
Interesting you mentioned the lack of valets Tikay - was something I noticed as well and I think it's just a function of how busy the whole casino was. I've never seen a UK casino that busy - even getting a drink at the bar was a challenge.

Honestly, I have never seen a Casino in the UK as busy as that, it absolutely heaved on Saturday night, people could not throw money at the House Games fast enough.
The fixed costs of that place must be huge, but they are having a good go at making it pay.
The staff were well-trained in people skills, too, lots of smiley stuff, but they could use a lot more valets, and if drinks are as expensive as lattes are, the extra staff would pay for themselves with plenty left over.

It gets huge footfall from people drifting in (I couldn't believe how many were playing slots at noon on a Sunday) plus seems to be a destination place for people in East London of a weekend.
Just goes to show how location is key - I saw that the Alea in Leeds is/has closed as it was stuck in that new development that no one goes to.

How close were you to folding the KK?
I couldn't believe the hands when they were turned over - after his flatting of my bet and your dwell I thought QQ were the nuts.

No wonder I didn't do we'll on day 2, I looked so up for it as well... Very enjoyable competition, apart from the not winning it part for me.
Looking forward to the next one I can play.

Jeez, another one I missed on Saturday!
I was railing that very table for a fair while. I was effectively between the cardboard cutout of Miss Pasalic and the real thing for a sizeable portion of the evening.
A heck of a rollcall on display that day. Fab timing by Sky and those concerned.
