Hi Mick.

Yes, I got the PM.

Yes, I have replied, with my Bank Details.

Yes, you are now added to the list, & BOOKED

Thanks!

PS - What sort of an oil-rig is it? Where? How exciting!

Very small oil rig called WilPhoenix, currently located south west of the shetland isles. My current, new, and hopefully for a good few years yet, job is an ROV pilot/technician (Remotely Operated Vehicle) which is a small unmanned submersible used for inspection, maintenence, repair, building etc etc of subsea equipment associated with the oil and gas industry, offshore windfarms, hull inspections, diver safety support, basically anything that in bellow the sealine.

Can be exciting, can be boring, and the internet sucks so i can't even play an STT while out here.

Considering starting a diary to get my posts up and become a member of the staking fraternity, esp as i'll hopefully have spare money lieing around as and when i get promoted in the job.

cliffs on life so far :

Life: 40 this year, sort of a priveledged upbringing in that i had opertunities and squandered them, 14 years military service including 2 divorces (before i hit 30) few years working in rail industry, now an ROV pilot/tech, on 3rd wife but this time its all looking good ( i like cake and toasters)

poker: played since 2003 for fun tokens, won a seat to WSOP ME in 2004 after a whole 6 months experience playing for actual moneys, supplemented divorce debts with poker for a time, realised i'll only ever be recreational and have other priorities so tend to play for fun with what i can afford these days

worth a diary?Huh?? might help fill in some time holes at work i suppose!!!!

Wow, deffo worth a diary!

Never mind UTG Ranges, under the sea submersibles win all day long.

Submersibles, oil rigs, wind farms, railways - this could be the greatest diary ever!

I'll transfer this to the Diary Thread now, & add a few photos shortly, to whet appetites.

Probably be a good idea to change the Thread title though.

Submersibles, Railways & Multi-Divorces maybe?....

No mate.

I work for a company called fugro who have started manufacturing their own ROVs. Currently using a 600 series, so called because it is rated down to 600 meters. They also have a 3000 series however i havent played with one of them yet.

Will get to the details eventually in my other diary down there ↓↓↓
