My 17yo daughter is supposed to be in London the weekend with a friend. Staying at her friends apartment near London Bridge. Not sure if I should let her go because of the protests or am I just being over fatherly.

Any thoughts anybody?

Plenty of ways a 17 year old girl can get into trouble in a weekend in London irrespective of the protests.

Def do not use this as a reasons not to let her go, but do reinforce your point that you want her to avoid them.

I got an email today with protest info on from the Met, PM me if you would like the info

Don't I know it.

I don't mind her going, she's been a few times before. I was just concerned about the protests and possible disruptions. I'll def advise her to leave balaclava at home.

I'm always surprised when it kicks off on a street so high up on the Monopoly board.
