Full Tilt Poker cheating???

...anyone else received one of these emails today.....obviously concerned as to what has happened
Full Tilt Poker has become aware of a situation involving a violation of our Terms of Service, to the potential detriment of other players. You participated in games that were under consideration in this case and as a result you may have been adversely affected.
In a case such as this it is our policy to confiscate the balances of the offender(s) and for Full Tilt Poker to add funds where appropriate. This compensation pool is then distributed to players potentially affected in as fair a way as possible.
We have determined that you are entitled to a refund of $xxx which has been credited to your account.
The integrity of the games at Full Tilt Poker is of paramount importance and appropriate action will always be taken when players operate outside the Terms of Service. Full Tilt Poker works hard to police the games in order to pro-actively prevent such instances. However, in cases where it is discovered that rules breaches have occurred, the aim is to ensure that any players affected are compensated appropriately.
We regret that we will be unable to answer questions as to how your specific credit amount was calculated. Likewise, we are not at liberty to identify the specific games or player(s) in question. Suffice to say that the offender(s) have been barred from the site and you will not encounter them again.

have had several of these from stars, just means they caught someone cheating (teaming up, multi accounting etc) and have redistributed the prize pool accordingly. I have always viewed them as a positive thing means that ftp/stars whoever are doing their job properly. nothing to worry about imo

fair enough...after reading how someone hacked in to the pentagon this week I thought how it must be easier to hack a poker site...might not be too sinister then.

people cheat and will cheat forever. So if you never get these emails it just means they are all getting away with it.

or smurf you could sign up to DTD Cash games where membership is controlled to club members and people can't multi-account, use bots etc
no need for recompense emails on those games

its really good that you get the email so when people are cheating or soft playing they get caught. On smaller sites there may be 2 guys talking on skype who know eachother telling eachother what they have or perhaps in satalites folding when its really really bad to. Stars and Full Tilt catch these pretty well compared to the rest of the field.
Obviously its not nice to know youve been cheated though.

Nah, all pokersite's are solid.
The Pentagon though, it's about as secure as a hymen in a South London Comprehensive.
