Spell checker

For several years now, I've had an automatic spell-checker that undelined mis-spelled words in red, I think it came with Firefox.

Yesterday I accidentally downloaded something called 'Mysearchdial' which is apparently some type of virus or something. Anyway, I managed to get rid of Mysearchdial, but I had to se-set Firefox to do it, now my spell-checker has gorn awol.

I've downloaded the Firefox spell-ckecker plug-in / add-on thingy, but it doesn't seem to work and it doesn't look the same anyway. from looking at the pictures, it seems like it highlights spelling mistakes rather than underlining them.

Any ideas how to get my original spell-checker back?

I have tried turning it off and on.

I never had spellchecker in firefox but recently did something that enabled it

That sorted it, in a roundabout way.

when I opened that option i found I already had the spell-checker, but I had to install a dictionary for it to work from.
