Wanted to know if bookies had features on their sites where you can have say 8 mates sign in and have a tipster league, logging all of your bets, and eventually seeing who is best.

If not a bookie (and i can see why they wouldn't have this feature, as there would be more losers than winners presumably), are there are good online sites or apps that would accommodate? Trying to set my own small world cup league with mates. Cheers.

Funny you mention that Ant. I was going to do something similar for Blonde in the football season coming up.
Originally I was going to just run a tipster comp but if we link it to bookies odds, I thought it would be better.
Basically you'll have  £100 to bet each week and a running total is kept of profit/loss.
People would 'place their bets' on the thread at the oddschecker price at the time of placing it. It would be free to enter I think as trying to verify that prices were correct at the time of the post might be tricky and an element of trust would be necessary. I think it would be instructive and could be a lot of fun.
If I run it, would you be happy to give me a dig out on it?

Forgot i put this post up initially so sorry for the delay in response.

What do you mean by dig out on it? If you mean to help you with it, I would, happily.

To log all of the stats, is it use of a Microsoft Excel? I am utterly useless with that sort of thing, but if it is easy to pick up then i will be quick to learn. Keen to get involved as long as it isn't a complete ballache, but if it is just data entry it sounds fine.

Would it be run like Tips for Tikay is? In that you have one huge Excel spreadsheet to track ROI's and the profit/loss?

Well thinking along these lines anyway has made me realise you can get a league like this up and going with mates as long as you're good with Excel Smiley

If you need any help with constructing a Spreadsheet, I'm happy to help, or if I'm not around, Mere would make a near competent substitute for me.

Yeah, help with the spreadsheet is exactly what I need Tikay, as I'm clueless in that regard.
And yes Ant, just help with inputting the data. It would be run something like Tips for Tikay with profit/loss tallies.
Hopefully we'll get a few of the football sharps playing and we'll get free tips the benefit of their wisdom Smiley
