Could squeeze it into 64GB, 128 would be fine. Depends if it also has to store your pr0n and movies. I have 8.1, Office 2013 and a shed load of other stuff but no movies, have used half of my 256GB.

Just added a 500gb SSD to my lads laptop. Cost £140. Boots up time<20 seconds compared to 90 secs with conventional hard disc.

i am tempted to try this myself but without a windows disc not sure how simple it would be to make install windows onto the SSD with the recovery USB stick

So that's over eight minutes a week you've gained. Do you blow it all on Sunday morning, or save a month's worth for some afternoon delight?

Correct Iron. Any action that requires writing/reading  to/from the SSD is performed so much faster.

Hehe, I laughed David Cheesy

But yes, I don't think I'd get a laptop now without a(n) SSD. Makes such a difference. Once problem is that you can't go and make a cup of tea whilst your laptop boots up though - not enough time.
