Player is on most of our tables, we hardly ever notice them, quite a weak / passive player.

We have   UTG (50nl), £1.5. Button and BB call. Don't really know button, regy to some extent.

Flop;

BB CHeck, We bet£3.56, call call.

Turn:

BB Check, we bet £11.57. Button Call, BB raises to £30.64, We call, button calls.

Pot is £107. We have £97 behind. BB has 70, button has £92.

River  .

Button Jams, we fold, button folds.

I felt like it was a decent fold at the time, especially with the button still in the hand.

Both players were on the tight side.

I wonder why they check raised the turn though, if they had 77.

I suppose it could be JJ that they hav'nt 3 bet pre. But i'd expect them to 3 bet JJ??

Dunno, if it could be an overplayed JQ.

It's one of those ones, just feels like I was beat given this particular player. But feels a bit dirty foldin here!

Does feel dirty I agree!  JJ makes sense though, I think 77 would more than likely 3bet flop? Button could also have lots of hands like 68hh combos which the 4 has hit so you gotta fold imo.  Not sure if we can 4 bet fold to a jam on the turn?

He only has £70 behind, if we raise the turn, it's pretty much committing us.

How did the action go on the river if the button jams? Guess the BB jams yeah?

I can't see how we haven't reraised on the turn with the stack sizes as they are against two players. Got to be the most profitable long term play hasn't it?

Yeah was the BB who jammed, mistake in the op.

WAs thinking about this hand a lot after it happened.

We are getting a great price to call OTR. Probs should have just called.

I called the turn raise because if the button rejams I have a trivial fold imo, given the action and the players being tight.

Also if I move all in OTT, it's quite hard to get called by worse, I dout he's playing a flush draw, this way ott.

When we call the turn and button over calls, I expect BB to slow down on most rivers, and it pretty much was a brick river. Only 68 has really come in.

The general consensus is it should be jam OTT.

I had discounted draws, flush/ straight, when they raised the turn.

To a greater extent they have some 2 pair hands, mostly JQ.

When the player raised, my gut feeling was I was beat. From general game flow/ how the player was playing and their playing style.

It's hard to explain, but if I am playing well, my A game, my instincts are usually spot on.

In saying all that, we do beat some of their range, and are getting a great price. If they weren't as tight <Nit?>(in my opinion) it would have been a slam dunk get it in.

Was an interesting one, and an interesting fold on my part. And of course my "read" could be totally off here, and they've owned me with JQ.
