This is a great read. Bit long - 5 minutes solid - but a spiffing yarn.

great read tikay.  Didn't realise ESPN had an effective betting 'section' to their website called chalk.  Some decent stuff in there to read.

Me neither, it would never have crossed m y mind that ESPN would do stuff like that.

The Lady journo seems to have written a fine piece there.

Whether the bit about the West Ham floodlight failure is true is another matter, I'm a little sceptical about that.

have you been following the daily fantasy sports saga in the US

The authorities insist the dfs and fan duel operations desist in NYC as its gambling, and in the same report say that only the best players win...

ESPN heavily involved in promoting these, which spend fortunes on advertising

DFS is about to enter the UK market, received a licence

Yup, followed every word of it online.

Remember, at this year's WSOP "DRAFT KINGS" was plastered all over the tables, & as a WSOP Sponsor. I never watched the November Nine thing, but I believe the plan was to ditch Draft Kings.

It now looks like the banks & Payment Processors intend to pull the plug, which would be gg, unless they plan to use Flower Shops & Golf Accessory shops as Payment Processors, & surely no reputable business would do that, would they?

Quite a story brewing, I sense.

'Stars are in that market too, if I recall correctly. I wonder which they would rather have in the USA - Fantasy Sports or Poker? I fancy they can't have both, or they might end up with neither.

Also Robert Kraft and Jerry Jones own pieces of DFS companies and will be told by the NFL to sell up.
