Have done some googling myself but any advice would be welcome, thanks.

What's the best site online to use for doing a collection for an individual ? I thought of using JustGiving or gofundme but they take a 5% fee + extra charges so wondered if there are better sites to use to do it via ? Plus just any advice for things to be aware of ?

Cheers.

https://mydonate.bt.com/

Used them myself back in 2012 to raise money for a children's charity. They were free back then and didn't take a %, I believe it's still the same but you'd have to check yourself.

Yeah, when I was googling I thought they look the best but it looks to me like it has to be for a registered charity if you use them and I want it to be just for an indiviual.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_crowdfunding_services#Donations_and.2For_Rewards

which suggests https://www.youcaring.com is free to use bar the PayPal processing fees.
