Entered the $109 phase 1 sat tonight. You play 16 levels and whatever chips you have at the end of the tourney goes through to next stage.
Now seeings as if you buy directly into next stage you start with 300k, should I be playing normal sat strategy or playing more like a normal tournament? The other problem i found was that we got heads up in level 13(maybe level 12) which meant that with only 600k(20 runners) in play, I was gonna have to win to take a stack thru(JJ Vs 22 with a door card 2 put paid to that attempt).
Any advice on how to approach these in the future would be appreciated.
Also, are there any standard format sats running for the next phase, ones with seats rather than taking chips thru?
tx,
regards,
Mohican.

It's not actually a sat as it usually plays down to 1-3 players. I'd just play as you normally do but may be better trying to sat into the 530 by playing 109 satties to a 530 ticket?

I take it they have a standard sat format? I think I'd prefer them although if i'd have won this i would have gone through with 600k to next stage.

There's usually a 5 token gte iirc.

Yes you may go through with more obviously but if you prefer a sat format then that's an alternative route. 300k is plenty for the final I think (100 bbs)

I would have gone down that route had I known about it. Will set about trying to sat into one. Tx for your help.
