It is not just you. I tend to close the download every break which seems to reduce the problem.

I am assuming you are using the download and not via browser. Close the download down and then restart it again. This seems to help sort out the CPU issue and stops it crashing as much.

the longer it is open the more memory it will use due to a memory leak which has never been fixed. As Matt says regular close/re-open of the software or using the browser version will do you alright.
