Posted this on another thread but http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/flightchecker does Ryanair, BMIBaby, Air Wales, Norwegian Air, SkyEurope, Thomsonfly and Flybe all at the same time.

BMIBaby does look the best from B'ham

best I have found are expedia - always use the .com not the .co.uk and www.travelaxe.com - you do need to download travelaxe but it is fantastic at finding great hotel deals.

Not sure if this will be much use on this occasion, but for future reference this website lists all budget airlines in europe and around the world. Whilst we all know about ryanair etc there are loads of cheap airlines based in other countries that fly to the uk that aren't marketed on this side of the pond.

Also try www.openjet.com for budget flights. This site amalgamates the timetables of many budget airlines.

For mainstream services, I like www.airline-network.co.uk as their prices are generally very competitive.
