o/t Another Casino for Glasgow

A GLASGOW hotel , the thistle has been given the go-ahead to convert the largest ballroom in Scotland into a casino two-thirds the size of a football pitch.

that now makes 6 casinos without even factoring in the card rooms and the possibility of a "super casino"

just wonder if glasgow can support this amount and any new ones over the period...And does the Thistle not hold Poker events?festivals at present??

no there is only 1 super casino allowed in the whole of the UK due to westminster rushing through the new gaming act it will end up in either blackpool or london

thats why i said possibility...probably makes the case for it even harder with the thistle announcement..

there are at least 2 possibly 3 bids for glasgow supercasinos but i cant see it myself.

ive no objection to another casino in Glasgow. It might attract more tourists! ive heard ibrox was putting their name in the hat.

What I do object to however is the bookies opening or trying to open in areas of high unemployment where folk will throw their money away trying to go for that big win. take take take off those who cant afford it. anyway rant over

Ibrox and a big vegas hotel are trying to build a hotel and casino complex next to gods stadium
they are still awaiting planning pomision from the green bragade ( the council    )

if it does come of it will be great for the area as they will be trying to get local employes
