There is a superbikes champion currently in discussions with a formula 1 racing team. nothing is in concrete yet so cant say any more. a couple of betting companies have been phoned to get odds of this chap being the first guy to have won championships in both motor bikes and motor racing within the next 5 years. odds are looking quite high

Rossi has been testing for Ferrari and setting some pretty impressive times.  But he is MOTO GP.

Oh come on Stally - spill the beans - at least via PM.

Surely not Foggy, altho I did notice a Petronus garage in one F1 the other day.

I would have thought Neil Hodgson loved his bikes too much.

I can only think that Foggy would bring a lot of interest.

Oh tell me Stally pleeeeeaaasssseeeeeeee.

Yea, Nemesis

Can you imagine how much money Rossi's move to ferrari would generate.  The sponsors would be fighting over each other.

He is already in the top 10 for the highest paid sports people. Moving to ferrari would put him up in the Schumacher wage bracket.

I have looked everywhere on google for an up to date list.      http://www.forbes.com/2004/06/23/04athletesland.html

thats the best I could find.  BBC sport did have a great list which had the top 50 world sports people.  But it doesn't appear to be on the site anymore.  The forbes link above is from 2004, it has lots of pop ups and is difficult to navigate around.  It doesn't have Rossi or Lance Armstrong. Rossi was 9th in 2005 and Lance Armstrong was in the top 20 for earnings.

Sorry,  i couldn't find anything better.

Knowing you,  you will find an up to date list....lol       I am convinced you have a photographic memory for knowing internet sites....  Cheesy.   I can never find anything when I look ..

Schumacher $80 million...  that is scary money.  Just think he has been earning that kind of money for over 10 years.

In the Sunday Times rich list . Elton John comes in around 200 million.  Schumachers earnings must be more than that.

Around 1996 when Tyson got out of jail, the three highest earners were.  1. Tyson.  2. Michael Jordon.  3. Schumacher.

It pays to be called Michael...lol

Of course not.

I know, Biaggi did it a few years ago.  He wasn't as fast as Rossi was though after his first test.  Mick Dohan also tested for Williams back in 97, he went off though.
