if you call for it and are pure of heart(and are drunk enough) great things can happen.
you didnt say what the verbal was after?
i imagine something like: AabGym:" :see how good i am"

This happens far to often: From my blog
Quote
one of the strangest things I saw in a poker game was; I myself was playing my tight normal game and raised X3 with KQ suited in mid position only to be re-raised all-in,. by a player who was short stacked and seemed to be playing very tight! all folded to me and it was something like 400 to call, so I had to call, this tight scandi player turned over 34off suit..hmmmm OK crap play but strange?
well the strange thing was the flop 334 turn 4 and river A.....OK I lost the pot, When I called I didnt expect to win it in truth (I had to call for value) but a player who has played tightish game (pokeroffice had him seeing 19% of the flops) to go all-in with 34off after a raise and flopping a boat? I think it must have been Derren Brown.

Not laughing at your loss of the pot RED but.....I've heard people talk about the "laddies river" ........but the "laddies turn AND river"
Just made me chuckle.

makes you think. To hit perfect after calling it, wow.
I told someone i was going to call and suckout on them the other day, which i did and the guy went nuts with 'you must work for the site' etc, i'd love to have seen his reaction if i pulled off a perfect runner runner on him after calling it.

I all to often call with the specific intention of hitting a card and knowing my opponent won't be able to put me on the hand I hit.
Granted it's usually when I'm drunk, but lately when pissed I've been getting random urges to call, knowing that I'll hit, and have.
I have to say, it's fun.

Well last niht in a live game in london Ruru went allin on my BB after I told him not to. I announced I would call with anything better than QT. I flipped over A2 o/s and he was looking quite chuffed with his slightly better holding of AA. I told him to get his wallet out as the flop was going to be 345, he laughed then got his wallet out when the flop came 345
Sometimes you can feel a card coming, sometimes you can feel a whole board

Against a random hand QTo is better than A2o.

I know it's an excuse to post a bad beat but...
Just on laddies and get pocket aces I end up all in against 3 others an done has a pair of tens, trouible is two tens come up on the flop, so all chips lost to quad tens. i go for one rebuy and a few hands later I am all in with
and I am called buy
Flop gives him a jack and i am out.
