Please help me.

When I fire up the old PC all seems ok.

Firefox starts fine - Blonde opens fine.

Open second tab can do one search on google and on the second I get error messages. Cannot find google, contains no data, check address etc.
I then get error messages for whatever site I try and open.

Shut down firefox, restart it, repeat and the same thing happens.

Have deleted cookies, cant find temp internet files.

Have also had some lag problems with BPL, everything else seems fine.

Suggestions ?

My Blonde is running really slow as well.  Much slower than other things.  I ran a thingymagigy test after Bundle explained how to do it.  Do you keep getting a flashing egg timer?

Okies, I was hoping you would say NTL LOL

I have seen this with a lot of NTL connections..it appears to throttle connections an awful lot at peak times - you are probably ok on Blonde, as you come here a lot and it's locally cached for you.

Things like google it has to take data and bandwidth from the net, so NTL suffers when it is really busy.

It's a case of keep trying and try to grab a good dollop of bandwidth.

Change yer ISP Smiley

But its free with my TV and phone Sad

However Norwich is about to trial/launch the free wi-fi city centre type thing and I can have free connection to that forever - and dump NTL for Sky and then I will be able to watch Tikay on the TV Smiley

If Firefox is running slow, you should try www.opera.com.

Assuming all else is clear (virus etc).

Is it the latest version of FF?

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling? (To be safe backup your bookmarks first!)

I get this problem from time to time and I'm with NTL.  I think it's US based sites I can't get on too.

Anyway, I had it tonight but were up and running again now.  Is yours back?

edit: we're not completly back.  Can get on hotmail though.
