Best.

1) 2000 Play Off Final - Ipswich 4 Barnsley 2.  We lost to a better team but the game was fantastic and the atmosphere between the fans was incredible.
2) Barnsley 3 Man Utd 2 - FA Cup 4th round replay 1998
3) Barnsley 2 Bradford City 1 - April 1997, the day we got promoted to the Premiership
4) Liverpool 0 Barnsley 1 - Premiership 1997.
5) Birmingham 0 Barnsley 4 - Play-off Semi-Final 1st Leg, 2000.  I was really nervous about this game but we ended up romping it.

And one I missed due to holiday.....
Barnsley 7 Huddersfield 1, November 1998 - Watched it live on Sky in a bar in Gran Canaria.  6-0 up at half-time, one of the bookies gave odds on us scoring 10!  If only Higgy hadn't missed a penalty....

Worst

1) Barnsley 2 Liverpool 3 - Premiership 1998.  The worst refereeing display of all time by Gary Willard.  Sent off 2 of our players, we equalised to make it 2-2 with 9 men, so he sent off another!
2) England 0 Germany 1 - The last England game played at Wembley.  We were shit.
3) Barnsley 0 Norwich 1 - Apr 2002.  The game that saw us relegated from the old division 1.  Inept beyond belief.
4) Barnsley 3 Ipswich 3 - mid 90's.  3-0 up with 5 minutes to go.  Say no more!
5) The entire 2002/03 season - Impossible to pick a low point in this season.  First season after being relegated, placed into administration in October, asset stripped by our supposed saviour, barely managed to avoid extinction and narrowly avoided being relegated again.

These are my best in no particular order and they go back a while.

England 9, Scotland 3 at Wembley 1961.

My first England match which my dad took me to. I remember he bought me an enormous England rosette which was almost as big as me and this big Scotsman wearing his tam-o-shanter came over and as we were going into the ground said "I think you'll be needing a wee hankie after the hiding we're about to give youse"

Arsenal 3, Anderlecht 0 at Highbury 1970. (Overcoming a 3-1 deficit from the first leg to win The Fairs[EUFA] Cup, Arsenal's first trophy for 17 years, I think)

Tottenham 0, Arsenal 5 at WHL 1978 (The scoreline says it all)

Arsenal 4, Tottenham 4 at Highbury 1963 ( The score was 2-4 with six minutes remaining)

Tottenham 0, Arsenal 1 at WHL 1971 (Clinching the league title in the final game of the season before going on to beat Liverpool in the FA cup final thus completing the double. I paid £25 for my ticket from a tout)

My five worst will probably appear under the title of Nemesis's and Kev's five best.
Mind you as they probably took place before they started attending live games, they may not....  Roll Eyes

This is a tough one, I have been to so many great games involving Celtic but most of my memmories will probably only go back a few years until I read about a game I was at and rememberw hat the occasion meant and then that will jump to the top of  my list.

I am going to try and do this in no particular order apart from the dates.

1988 - Scottish Cup final at Hampden.  Celtic are 1 - 0 down to Dundee United after Kevin Gallagher scored but Frank McAvennie was on hand to score two lates ones for the Hoops and that was the double sealed in our Dentenary season.  I was only 7 at this point and I remember the excitment of the game.  Itw as a right family day out I remember being with my Da, Granda, Uncles, Cousins, and my Granda's mates from his work.  It was a crazy day.

Early 1990's the year escapes me I am thinking 1992 possibly, I had went to Cologne for my first ecer European away game and it was a bad experience Celti where trailing  2 - 0 when we got them back to Parkhead.  The atmosphere at CP was electric, Tiger Tim was in tremendous form the crowd was bouncing there was one guy stood next to me handcuffed to a copper, he was obviously out for good behaviour or something.  It was a fantastic performance from Celtic in particular from John Collins and Gerry Crainey.  We managed to overcome the 2 - 0 deficit and win 3 - 0 but we got humped in the next round.

Again my memory is a bit hazy with the dates and without googling I remember we where 2 -1 down to Partizan Belgrade and we brought them back to Celtic Park and humped them  5 -4 we went out on that silly away goals rule due to come comical defending from Derek Whyte.  Our polish superstar and playboy Darius (Jackie) Dzieknowski scored 4 in an unbelievable game and they where crackers as well.

Anfield in the run up to Seville, me and my cousin went down to Anfield with a bus load of soccer hooligans most of them where my mates my cousin was shitting himself with the antics that where going on, on that bus.  It turned outw e where the only 2 on the bus with a ticket for the game althoughw e where in the Liverpool end.  My cousin was so scared that he hid his ticekt in his show fearing one of the lads would have stolen it from him  Cheesy  Anyway we gets to Anfield and thanks to John Hartson and Alan Thompson we had another memorable game to look foward too.

Think Martin O'Neil first old firm game and 8 goals and you have it!!

I don't really want to give reasons for my worse games as they just bring back bad memmories.

Any defeat agaisnt Rangers!!!
Uefa Cup final against Porto in Seville
Loosing the league against Motherwell last day of the season.
Defeat to Inverness Calley Thistle in Scottish Cup.
Loosing Cup final to Raith Rovers at Ibrox.

I haven't been to that many and I generally struggle to remember the details (who they were against, scores etc Cheesy) but some of the more memorable ones were

1.  2000-01 -  Champions League quarter final - Arsenal v Valencia.  2-1 to us in a great game.  Henry scored our first then Ray Parlour came down the middle and hammered it home. Great night, great result

2.  1999-00 Champions League, 4th round.  Arsenal v Deportivo.  5-1 to us.   My first Champions League live game and probably the best game I've ever been to.  Top Spanish team at the time and they couldn't get anywhere.   Goals from  Dixon, Henry (2), Kanu, Bergkamp.

3.  Reading v Someone I can't remember - 1st division play off semis home leg at Majeski in 2000.  Details are vague on this one but I lived in Reading at the time and got tickets to the home leg of the play off semis.  It was just a great game for atmosphere - pitch invasions, police horses piling in, riot vans - the works but all in a good mood.  Promotion would have got the Championship.    After they won the game a few days later tickets went on sale for Cardiff and like a true fan (even though I wasn't) I queued up from about 7am on the day of sale for about 5 hours to get tickets.  It was actually fun waiting in line as people were all chatting and the time flew by.  We got to the Millenium stadium only to find we could have bought tickets on the door Cheesy  Anyway, Reading lost the final and didn't get promoted.

Other games (Bad/not so good)

1.  Arsenal v Charlton - Premiership a few years ago.  Charlton won 1-4.  Not sure what happened to us that day but they were bloody aweful and it was a terrable game from a Gooners point of view.

2.  Ajax v Arsenal Champions League a few years ago.  Decided with some mates that we'd go to the game in Amsterdam even though we didn't have tickets.  Got to the hotel which someone booked and I;m checking in in reception and the whole Arsenal squad came out!  By some coincidence we'd go the same hotel as them.  We weren't allowed to really talk to them as they were preparing for the match (only about 4 hours to go) but we all watched in awe as everyone one of them walked past and said hello to us.  Then we had to get tickets for the game and we chatted to the main official supporters club man who was also staying there and he got us two from someone across the other side of town which left us with two to get.  We got these from a tout and I ended up sitting in the home end.  The game itself was one of the most boring I've ever been to and it ended up 0-0 but the night away was ace.  I shared a flight home with Tom Watt and we say Stu Pot from Grange Hill on a 'Dam tube too Smiley
