Of course not.

Didn't think Kashmir was a nation unto itself.

Here's a bad beat.

Having the letters for Kyrgyzstan at scrabble, only to realise it's a proper noun, and so illegal to play. Roll Eyes

Thought you could only have 7 letters at once? Wink

Someone already had played "tan" perhaps?

Where's your imagination Baron?

It's a territory that a maharajah (old reigonal king) couldn't decide which side to align it with so it's fought after by both sides who claim it's theirs. I think it's half Indian and half Pakistani at the moment but the border has moved a few times over the years.

Got a mate at work from Kashmir, he thinks of himself as Pakistani.
I'll ask him tomorrow.

Good shout. My history of the matter comes from the film Gandhi.

Right, apparently it was bought from India Tea company by the Mah Haraja (sp?) and operated as a seperate state from the Raj.
Somewhere along the way it was sold to India when the country was split between Pakistan and India but as it is mostly muslims (India is mostly Hindhu?) Pakistan laid claim.
Though according to my mate they (Kashmiri's) want independance again.
