Thanks for the comments guys. I agree with badpab2 here, I should have bet out for a number of reasons.
1. To build the pot so it's easier for an oppo to stack off with their flush or straight at the river.
2. Get the extra bets from the AK, KJ, KT hands, and flush and straight draws.
3. Most players are suspicious if the raiser checks the flop on a board like this one.
It's always tempting to check the flop with Quads to let them catch up though. After my small bet on the turn I thought I should check the river to show real weakness and then any flush may think about betting and will then have a decision as to whether to call my raise. Also as I followed a weak line throughout I thought I might induce a river bluff but got nothing.
I thought I'd post this hand as it illustrates how difficult (and frustrating) it is to get value from such a strong hand. Flopping Quads pretty much strangles the board as unless an oppo's hit a full house the paired board really slows things down.
From all the times I've hit Quads I think I've only ever been paid off twice!
