Schools need a Social Revamp!!!!!

NO RESPECT OR DISCIPLINE anymore in schools :

"you cant touch me" etc... etc...

Bring back the good old days.

I remember playing knock door ginger (as we called it), I was around 12/13 at the time. There was this one house that we used to do on a regular basis (mainly because of their reactions) and we always hid in the same place so that we could see their reactions. Well one day, we knocked, ran, and hid in the usual place, only to be confronted by the man as he was waiting in our hiding place!!
Well it was me he caught hold of, and gave me one hell of a slap around the face - hurt like hell!!!!

What did I do? Did I give him the usual mouth you get from kids now?!? Course not!! Cos he would of hit me again!!
Did I say "Im gonna get my Dad on you"? Course not, didnt even tell my Dad cos he would of hit me also!!

Something needs to be done - schools are powerless againt kids. Kids have no respect for teachers.

Now I know "my way" wouldnt help the very wayward kids (as they are probably beyond help tbh) but it would bring most of the "inbetweens" back into line.

I can also understand the reasons for taking power away from teachers/adults was to protect the children, but we have gone too far, WAY to far. I dread to think what society will be like for our childrens kids

My god I sound old!!!

i agree mp3boy. in my youth the neighbours would challenge kids behaving badly and its now the same principle as you describe in schools. kids have the 'cant touch me' attitude and its not doing society any good at all. we will end up in trouble in 20 or 30 years when there is no such thing as discipline and noone takes responsibility for their behaviours as there is no fear factor and no naming and shaming as a lot of folk dont even know their neighbours.

whats the answer?
