We usually try & flag up technical changes to the Forum a few days in advance, so everyone is pre-aware, & there is time for some feedback, but we need to deal with this one a bit sharpish, so it's been done.

From here on in, Members will no longer have the ability to change their "display name". The display name is, well, the name that's displayed when we Post. (Mine is - yes, you got it, "tikay").

It's been possible to have a little fun with Display Names in the past, & no harm has been done, it's all in good spirit.

But sooner or later, some bright spark is going to try & Post in another Members display name (or a very close likeness) in a malicious manner, & all hell will be let loose. If you think about it, the potential for "mischief" is enormous.

All complaints should be addresed to my fellow Mods, whose idea this was.

All "well done's" should be addressed to me, as it was my idea.

Sounds fair enough.

It's ok, there's plenty tins in the cupboard to keep me busy.

For super fun to exist, well defined parameters must exist for the super fun to exist within.
