Nice to meet you last night red-dog and congrats, sorry didn't get chance to speak more but you may have noticed I'm not much of a talker at the table
. You didn't look troubled all night whereas I was billy low-stack the whole time and never really got going, knew I'd have to win a couple of races to stand a chance and it wasn't to be.
Luckily Mr Newbie donated lots of his to me
By the way didn't you think that was a strange choice for someone's first ever live tourney ?

Hi Owner, It was nice to put a name to another 'blonde face'
Just to clarify, there was an absolute, fresh from the mint, brand new and unspoiled beginner on the same table as us, a couple of the players were trying to take advantage, ie, raising the pot and then saying "Ok mate, it's five hundred to you now" so I explained to him loudly that it was his turn, he could fold (or raise) if he wanted to and suggested that he should ask what his options were every time untill he was sure. He was shaking like a leaf and doing everything wrong, he was scarlet with embarrassment but he loved every minute of it. I had a few words with him during the break, he was a really nice kid and will be an asset to the game if they don't spoil him before he finds his feet
But I have to agree with owner, what a wasps nest to jump into for your first ever game

Proud of you Red for helping the newbie. I just HATE it when folks don't help to put newbies at ease.

I was the most clueless newbie you ever saw, and I really appreciated every bit of advice I could get, still do for that matter

Update of Qualifiers.
after 13 events
there are 43 qualifiers
and £50,100 generated. The Prize fund is still a stonking £250,000.
That leaves 40 qualifying events left. Still waiting for the results of the Blue Square qualifier on Friday.
Full list of upcoming events at

Thanks for the words of praise and support Tikay, Red-Dog. I do it for you guys.
And little Wulfie. Maybe I will die on my arse without you. NOT.
Sorry to see you go mate, but I know why and hope you get the support in your new job. Gonna have to break me in a second female assistant for festival time to help out. Lucky me

I am a sometime (not regular) visitor of your cardroom. I was going to describe myself as a balding fat bloke but then realised that description fits half your punters.

Well Done Tom on your qualification, knew you had it in ya.
Was great to see you up here as always even though i didnt spend anytime in the cardroom (and i am still to ever deal to you lol)
The missis was well pleased with you stopping to chat and has waxed lyrical about you all weekend hehehe (dont tell kev)
Hopefully i'll see you at pastures new
I think you and Mrs Wolfy make a lovely couple ( Although I have to say, she's far to good for you) and would be a great asset to any cardroom
It's my honest opinion that ALL casinos fail miserably when it comes to looking after good staff
Now hurry up and get your self to Birmingham, then you will be out of the way when I go back to Blackpool in November
My that hurts so many ways

Come off it, a few months in the cardroom makes you almost impossible to insult. Thats why I have to try so hard

Just in case anyone is interested, blue sq are running $18 sats, Mon to Fri at 9.15pm for the Friday night qualifier. I was gonna have a go last night but it was cancelled due to lack of interest, only 5 registered! Could be good value if it reaches the min 9 players.
