Evening all,
Just a reminder to everyone that the second land based qualifier for the William Hill Poker Grand Prix takes place at the Sportsman casino London tomorrow evening.
The event is a £100 rebuy event(90 Min's) with 30 min levels and 2000 starting chips and a seat is guaranteed to the TV event in Cardiff.
For everyone that has pm'd me asking about the structure here it is.
The first prize will be 34.5% of the prize pool of which £6,000 will be taken for the Grand Prix seat.
The prize breakdown is as follows:
1st 34.5% (£6000 deducted for Seat). William Hill to supply accommodation & transport to and from the event to be held in Cardiff between October 16th and October 24th 2006.
2nd 20%
3rd 10%
4th 8%
5th 7%
6th 6%
7th 5%
8th 4%
9th 3%
10th 2.5%
3. The unlimited rebuy period will be 90 minutes. At 90 minutes one add-on rebuy will then be available. After the 90 minutes no further rebuys will be available.
4. The blind structure and level increases are:
Level 1: 25/50
Level 2: 50/100
Level 3: 100/200
---END OF REBUY PERIOD---
Level 4: 200/400
Level 5: 300/600
Level 6: 400/800
Level 7: 600/1,200
Level 8: 800/1,600
Level 9: 1,000/2,000
Level 10: 1,500/3,000
Level 11: 2,000/4,000
Level 12: 3,000/6,000
Level 13: 4,000/8,000
Level 14: 6,000/12,000
Level 15: 8,000/16,000
Level 16: 10,000/20,000
Level 17: 15,000/30,000
The duration of all levels is 30 Minutes. Rebuys are allowed for the first three levels (90 minutes). An optional Add-On may be taken at the end of the 90 minutes.
Good luck to anyone playing in the event and don't forget the added value of the complimentary meal that is available to all players and is served from 6pm onward, Ive eaten there before and it is superb. Other added value will be the godfather of poker himself who will be hosting the night in his Martin Bell suit ;o)
Thanks

Any idea of numbers that have signed up so far, or do most sign up on the night?

hi mate, there were 21 registered on Saturday and the max field is set at 80. Last Tuesday the field doubled from 35 to 70 in the last 90 mins so I expect many will buy in on the night.
come and say hello guys, it will be good to meet up.

lol, im much bigger in real life, It appears that over 40 seats have now been sold so if you are going to play it would make sense to get there sonner rather than later.

Yup, see you there, 425 too, and, if I can work the oracle, another Mini-Update, similar to Newcastle last week. But I can't promise that as the Cardroom there has a well-dodgy Vodafone Card reception.

Sorry but I won't be down tonight after all. Had a rubbish nights sleep and well and truly knackered, I would struggle to stay awake till ten let alone 1 in the morning and then get up at 6 to go to work. Lame excuse but will make sure I make the next one and book time off the day after.
good luck to everyone taking part.
