I am the Worlds worst hoarder and have stuff neatly boxed away on shelfs, cupboards and other places.

Every 3-6 months I have a clear out, most of it is books that I have bought from 2nd hand stores. Today I gave away three boxes of books and video's to PDSA.  Normally I have more than that and it is tough actually forcing myself to part with things that may one day be useful. The old Lady at PDSA normally runs to close the door when she sees me approach as I always have loads of stuff to give her.  She refused to take one of the boxes as she said there were too many books to sell. I went next door to Oxfam and donated it there instead as I didn't want to carry it home.

I have started forcing myself to give things away or I will become one of the characters from Life Of Grime in 20 years time  Cheesy

My two most interesting items today were two Panini football sticker albums( completed ) from 1987 and 1988

Sark do you ever check on ebay if any of your bits and bobs are worth anything?

I used to be a right one for car boot sales and collect loads of treasures (junk).

Some of it has turned out to be worth a bob or 2...not enough to retire on but still enough to get the adrenilin going as you see ur auction going through the roof in the last few minutes.

I have a couple of complete panini albums from early 80's ... i wouldnt part with them for the world

I remember collecting topps cards of footballers, i had 100's of them .  they were buried deep in my memory box (come on guys we all have a box full of our old stuff that the Mrs is always threatening to chuck out ... I chucked her first LOL)

Anyway I forgot all about them until a few years ago when I was Sales manager for NTL and a certain Richie Powling applied for a job, when i read his CV i saw that he used to play for the @rse .... I went home and checked my Topps cards and there he was !!!   Even though he was an Ex @rse player, I gave him the job and he was prob one of my best salesmen .... I got him to sign my Topps card at a sales meeting one day Smiley
