hi all
im just back from the dentist after having the first of 2 appointments for a veneer. i had a root canal many years ago and the tooth has discoloured. does anyone have one and what are they like to live with? do they fall off or anything?

Hi Mad,
The cement that is now used is very strong, and you can use the tooth with every confidence.

I had one done Mad, and it fell of twice, then I found a wonderful old dentist who cared more about his work than he did about making money. That was 25 years ago, I've had no problems since.

that sounds okay. its the first cosmetic thing ive ever had done and i am a little nervous. today i just got roughed up a bit and had to bit on some foul tastiing silicon. YUCK!!

I have 2 crowns and 2 veneers courtesy of trying to eat the back of a van at 20mph whilst riding a push bike.
Had a couple of issues with the crowns but the veneers are fine and no hassle
