GUKPT SUMMER SERIES

In January 2007, the very first GUKPT main event took place at the Grosvenor Casino in Bolton. Praz Bansi defeated a field of 197 players to become the inaugural GUKPT champion. Last year Tony Cascarino claimed victory at the Lancashire venue. This year, the casino has been rebranded as a stylish G casino and this weekend it plays host to the very first GUKPT Summer Series event. The festival starts today (Thursday 11th June) with a £200 NL Hold'em Freezeout tournament, which starts at 8pm and will conclude on Friday afternoon. Friday evening's competition in a £300 NL Hold'em freezeout and the £500 main event takes place this weekend, starting at 6pm on Saturday. The winners of each event will also bag a seat into the exclusive end-of-year £100,000 GUKPT Champion of Champions tournament.

 

Schedule of Events

 

Thursday 11th June - 8pm - £200 NL Hold'em Freezeout

Friday 12th June - 8pm - £300 NL Hold'em Freezeout

Saturday 13th June - 6pm - £500 NL Hold'em Main Event

 

Each of the three tournaments has a capacity for 150 players and wil run on a 45-clock. Late entries will be accepted during the first two levels of play. All are two day tournaments.
