yes you want a full active system, but each speaker will need power(so wires there), never, oh and your looking at top end kit, Bose etc. i use to have a japanesse make years back and it went wrong all the time, but they have moved on now.

If you lack the multiple power souces where you need them, just staple the wires to the top of the skirt etc.

My mate has a home cinema setup that looks much more cluttered with wires than "wireless" ones I've seen. You can hardly notice the wires unless they're pointed out to you.

You can get computer speakers by Logitech that have the back speakers wireless, supposed to be pretty good.

Like these http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/74753 but wireless, can't find the right ones at the moment

this is them http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/ProductInfo.asp?WebProductID=272973

wireless speakers are shit. if you are at all serious about sound, then dont even consider them.

A better alternative, for a decent compromise between sound and tidyness is this :

it works well with "standard shaped rooms". There is a ysp-1000 model available for bigger rooms.

Is that all you need? Does that replace the whole speaker system etc - just plug in to the tele type thing?  It's pretty smart.
