Re Maureen and Reece Why wait . let's do something !

Hi all

I , like the Hendon Mob and many of you here have supported PK4 Charity since it began attending most of there annual events providing items to auction off , the only impression i ever had was that Dave and Angie and all their helpers were working hard to get things going and make a difference . I have read the recent thread and have decided although answers are needed it is wrong to start naming and blaming anyone without proof . In the meantime what is glaringly obvious is that an event intended to raise money for Reese achieved that but the money has not been received .

I did not know about the event at the Western but would like to help , several reasons including the fact it is xmas and i would hate this to drag on and ruin it for Maureen and her family so i dont mind whether it is collected through a Pokerstars account as suggested by Ariston or if Maureen is happy to publish a name and address for donations.

I will give £50 to start the ball rolling , just let me know where to send it.

May I ask you to hold off for 24 hours, because....

1) I am meeting the Chairman of P4C tomorrow (Wednesday) & I am hopeful that will result in full payment of all the donated money finding it's way to Maureen/Stacey/Reece, and the Hospital, with immediate effect. If it does not, I will let you know. Many others have offered to raise the money again too, so we will be OK, with you & their help.

2) Maureen is wary of accepting any more charity offers, this whole matter has been most distressing for her, & Stacey. I need you to be aware that Reece is not at all well right now so I don't think we should hassle Maureen any more than necessary.

I've just answered what must be the 12th PM of today alone, suggesting donations to Maureen along the lines Simon Aces Trumper Posted above. So many of you have been so kind, I am lost for words.

But my point remains as before. I fully expect to come away from tomorrow's meet with all the donated Money, & really, that's what the "Maureen/P4C" thread set out to achieve one assumes. Other issues have arisen in the interim, & they can be dealt with subsequently (and will be), but Plan A is to get the cash to Maureen, & to the Hospital. But I need everyone to know that if it does not go to plan, there IS a Plan B in readiness.

I also emphasise that tomorrow's meet is at Jagsters's (he's the Chairman of P4C I think) request. On the thread he requested it, I rang him, & I agreed to his request. I make that point because I'm getting negative press for involving myself, but I am doing so only at P4C's behest. Equally, I have a duty of care to the blondes, to see that money they donated to good causes is used for the intended purpose.

I did have a pm from maureen asking me not to go down that route simon and I will respect her wishes as she doesn't want a fuss making. I had many pms offerering to send money to my account annonamously to make sure they have as good a christmas as possible under the circunstances. Blondes are a very warm hearted bunch and I can assume everyone that Maureen and Reece will be getting the money they are entitled to one way or another before christmas.
