An excellent weekend of Super League and some good attendances. I mean 15k+ at hudds?

Hull KR seem to have a semi decent team, they pushed Leeds last week and did Saints yesterday. Added to the fact Bradford lost to wakey! it could be a very balanced league.

I went to watch Wigan play in London at the weekend, and they too had a record attendance for a Super League game of about 9,000.

Was a great day, and watching rugby in February in glaring sunshine was a novelty!

Leeds must be the favourites this season, and I reckon it's Wigan, Saints, Warrington and Hull KR in the chasing pack.  Wigan eventually played very well on Saturday (and won comfortably, but the score was slightly flattering), and we're still without Fielden, Calderwood, Hock and Pryce.  We're looking better than we have for quite a few years, and the youngsters coming through look good.

I was queuing up for beer, when a bloke and his missus seemed to be sneaking in, moving a metal barrier out of the way.  I was thinking "who do you think you are?", and then noticed it was Andy Farrell and his missus!  That's who he thought he was!!

Leeds have to be big favourites again.  Going to be quite a few sides pushing them close though, and there isn't one stand-out challenger this season imo.

Was weird watching a superleague game being played on a white pitch!
