After one bad beat too many today I decided to switch off my computer and went out for a walk to clear my head.  On my return, I decided to listen to some music and came across some stuff which I had not heard for a long time.  This made me think what is the greatest song of all time?

Well first of all I must date myself.  Music first caught my attention in the late 60’s and I was one of the lucky ones to live through the greatest music period of all time.  I would struggle to name what I thought to be a great song that came out later than 1989.

The songs I listened to included such greats as Lynard Skynard – Freebird, Chuck Berry – Johnny Be Good, Queen – Bohemian Rhapsody, Rolling Stones – Satisfaction, Pink Floyd – We don’t need no education,…….the list goes on until it came to what I feel is the greatest.

This song never made number one because Led Zeppelin refused to release it as a single which must have cost them millions – Stairway to Heaven, gg wp and gl.

The Greatest Song of All Time is a song that initialy paints a picture, continues to tell a story and finishes up being an entire movie in a 4/5 minute song. The Greatest Song of All Time is truely...............

.........Thunder Road by Bruce Springsteen................

Listen to a copy and you will all see

The Sky Is A Landfill by Jeff Buckley. Clearly, blatantly, obviously.
