Tiscali Harmony ??

Yes mate, Harmony uses "Tiscrap", it really has annoyed her, their customer support has said no problems their end and they are not blocking access to poker sites apparently.

If anyone has any ideas or help, please let her know.

After many hours of swapping emails and phone calls, I got this email this morning, Part of which is reproduced below.

Tiscali is blocking certain

ports mostly used by gaming sites including Ipoker Software.

As per the email below, there is a fix that can be done by the Poker site to solve this problem.

We have forwarded this issue to our Development Team and they are currently looking into it.

More news when I get it.

Thanks for your posts Claw and Kev.  Unfortunately I closed the forum down to keep "things" to a minimum whilst talking to Tiscali on four separate long, long phonecalls and trying all sorts of things myself to get a connection to Blonde Poker.  I spoke with 4 different folk and got four amazingly different stories and levels of supposed "service". (What a misnomer!)   All denied any problem was with Tiscali and evaded the issue that I have been paying a regular price for a service which has totally gone into decline in the last few weeks. The final straw was being told to, wait for it..., "have a wonderful day" at the end of the final phonecall...  The air was blue around me, I can tell you, the night ruined.  I don't usually get so upset about things, either, I can tell you!  I really was looking forward to the game and the banter, which is quite a step forward for me!

Anyway I have sacked the provider, given notice at 9am today, and made further enquiries into a 3 way tv/phone/broadband special offer provided by Sky.  Have spent a long time trying to research this and in the past have been told my area can receive this special offer... have just been a bit cautious and slow in making a final decision because I have been caught out by changing suppliers of utilities before now, and was worried I might make some big technical mistake and miss out on broadband for a while. Surprise, surprise, as i get to the point of ordering this new package, at lunchtime, inthe office today,  I then discover the goal posts have moved... now my area does not receive the special offer, costs have gone up in both activation fee (doubled) and the cost of the Broadband itself (now dearer than Tisc.... !)!  Anyone else any good/bad experiences of this?  I know there was a thread awhile ago about problems with ports being blocked and I now realise it is a little daft submitting this at the end of a totally independent thread!  My apologies, my main reason for posting was to thank Claw, Kev and Bainn for their support and help with this.  Cheers folks. (And I am sure the game was a great success and great fun  Smiley )

Next time I post I shall be in a better mood, honest  Angry
