We have had a quite wonderful day here in Dublin, with the blondes doing us proud.
Ginger ran very deep, as did Laz & Teacake, Matt the Monkey too. Ironside had a day best forgotten, everything went wrong for the poor fella, & in fact he had to return to his Hotel, rather unwell.
Kinboshi was going well, too, until his 4-4 got counterfeited on a double paired board, but he had the satisfaction of busting Lee Mulligan earlier, after something of a duel between the two APAT Champions.
Scottish APAT Champ Phil Starr also played well, busting late on, as did Ally Myles, the Gala Maybury General Manager.
Compo started off like a train, making a spectacular re-steal with 7-5, but a calling station who rivered his A tilted him a tad, & things went belly up from there, though he was last seen busting all & sundry in the €20 ROE Rebuy, in which he & Rodney are vying for the chip lead as we speak, & having a "who can win with the worst hand" contest.
Skrikera, the SKY TV Producer, had a wonderful day, too, & is still in there grinding away. Amongst her victims was one Dewi-Cool, in a AA v KK jobbie, though Dewi chopped last nights scalps comp, netting €1,500 I think.
Le Knave is motoring well too, doing something of a yoyo.
Tighty worked hard on the APAT Live Update, ably assisted by Colch Kev, busy munching celery, Des was busy taking pics all day, whilst I swanned around looking busy but doing nowt, though I was being admired by a young & very beautiful Lady dealer from Roscommon.
The Fitz looked after us a treat.
Man of the day has to be Sir Eric Stoner, who played strongly from start to finish. This man guards his BB with his lfe, as many found to their cost.
Rhow & Co are here from Poker Week, and Compo & I start our Poker Week "work" at 10.30 am Sunday morning, groan......Oh yes, & it's peeing with rain.
Happy days in Dublin.
